Homecoming was a success! Good word, Good food, Good singing, & Good fellowship! It was our first service in the new (for us) church house.

A Brand New Day was our guest singing group again this year. They did a wonderful job despite some set backs. I recommend them both for spiritual soundness and voice quality. Our prayers are with the ministry's leaders as they embark on an interim pastorate near Tuscaloosa.

We were unable to get a total head count. People were coming and going at different intervals all through the service that day. However, we are confident that enough people came to at least fill the pew capacity from 90-100%. So I think we can safely say we had 80 or more (probably more) visit us for homecoming this year. For a small church, a few years old, in a church saturated environment, I think that’s pretty good!

Thanks to everyone for anything and everything you did to help contribute to this year’s homecoming event.

Blessings!

The Easter program performed by the youth was very inspiring and caused us all to stop and think of the significance of the Cross and those are litterally rejecting it daily. We Thank God for our youth and their dedication to the Lord.

As of sundown Saturday Passover officially began.

In concert with believers under both covenants, and following the apostolic example and witness of the early fathers, we at Christway will be gathering tomorrow (on Passover) to eat the Lord's bread and drink His cup.

We do this in remembrance of His atoning sacrificial death that freed us from slavery to sin and reconciled us to God the Father.

We do this in remembrance of the once sinful lives we lived that now are dead in Christ, buried with Him by faith.

We do this looking forward to the day of His resurrection come Sunday week.

We do this in the hope of His bodily return at the end of the age.

We do this in celebration of His triumph, and in thankfulness for the gift of eternal life he has bestowed upon us.

Remember, dear ones. Remember.

And, next year -- in the New Jerusalem!
